Louis Bland has added defender Richard Black to his squad ahead of The Gingerbreads opening pre-season friendly with Sherwood Colliery on Saturday at The Meres.
Black played in a couple of pre-season friendlies last season for The Gingerbreads but decided to join Cambridge City, where he made 40 appearances for the Lilywhites. He was previously at Dereham Town and their Captain
On signing the towering centre half, Louis said " I'm delighted to have Richard through the door and signed. He’s one we identified we wanted to sign straight away. He was here last pre season but decided to sign elsewhere but now the club is on the right track on and off the pitch it became more appealing option for him. He’s been training with us since the start of pre season and has looked sharp. His stature and his leadership will be massive for this group going forwards"
Richard added "I’m really happy to sign for the club. Can’t wait to get going and excited to see what we can achieve this season."
