Dunston at Consett

Updated: Feb 5

The Gingerbreads head to Consett tonight to play Dunston, due to the ongoing pitch issues at the UTS Stadium.

After two 2-2 draws in a row, Head Coach felt his side should have got more from the game at Bridlington on Saturday "If I'm honest I'm not sure how we didn't win it. We dominated possession and so many chances but we didn't take them all and we gave away two goals. We probably felt how Stocksbridge did at the end of the match there.

As I said post match, I'm delighted for Ryan to get his goals but I was really pleased with those around him. We got thr ball forward quickly and looked dangerous almost every time we got near the box"

Dunston despite having a stop start season with the number of postponements are still in the promotion race. Before Saturday's 0-0 draw with Stockton, they had won 7 straight matches.

Bland added "We're aware of their form, we're aware of the players they have. Playing at Consett could be an advantage for us.

I know with the distance on a Tuesday night is going to mean we won't have as many supporters there as we would on a Saturday, but I do know they'll be as loud as possible giving us unbelievable support"

For those not at the match, there will be updates across on social media accounts.
