Late Goal Earns Gingerbreads A Point

The Gingerbreads scored a 96th minute equaliser against Pontefract Collieries on Saturday.

Missing Kuwesi Ofushine and Ethan Bojang, Paul Rawden welcomed back Akeel Francis and gave a home debut to Iffy Ofoegbu.

Gregg Smith gave The Gingerbreads the lead after he met a low cross from Francis.

Pontefract showed though why they were on a run of 5 straight wins and by half time they were 2-1 up.

As time passed through the second half, neither side had many clear cut chances and Pontefract did everything they could to slow the match down.

The referee added 7 minutes of play, and it was in the sixth minute The Gingerbreads were level.

Harry Olivant turned his defender to run onto the ball and whip in a cross to the back post. Tom Zerboni was there to put his volley beyond the keeper.
